Brian is Ngāti Pākehā with heritage from England. He grew up in Wellington and Titahi Bay and has lived in Kent, New Jersey, Wellington and the Horowhenua. These days he lives in Levin with his wife Felicity.
Brian has 20 years of civil and structural engineering design and project management roles on projects such as Maui Pipeline Project, Power Development projects at New Plymouth, Manapouri and Te Anau, Rimutaka Hill safety realignments, National Police College landscaping and drainage, and Mobil Pegasus service stations lower half of North Island.
Brian has also decades of experience in consulting, project management and business management. The management consulting experience via Azimuth Consulting and Bernon Consulting has included clients: Seranova (Edison, NJ, USA), Māori Land Court, Office of the Clerk, NZ Forest Products, Intelligroup, Department of Building & Housing, Ministry of Justice, Contact Energy, Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet, Department of Corrections & the Ministry of Health.
Through this experience Brian is comfortable explaining complex concepts in easy-to-understand language. Project management methods and experience brings rigor to ensure projects and tasks are delivered to time.
Brian’s desire is to provide service that goes the extra distance to keep his clients and customers fully informed every step of their change journey. As well as civil and structural qualifications, Brian holds a Master of Business Administration from Victoria University and is a licensed Prince2 and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner.
